Snow so far

We've had about 8 inches so far, with another 7 or so on the way.  What a winter! 

Snow on the way ... again.

Well it's happening again.  For the umpteenth time this winter snow is on the way.  We had a melt the last few days and lot almost a foot of our ground cover. Now the weatherman says we have been between 10 and 14 inches on the way.  We are so concerned for people that live near water.  We had hoped this early thaw would help with the spring flooding, but now with the new forcast ... look out.  They have already started filing sandbags in the Fargo area as it floods there often and they expect this year to be another flood year.  The floods probably won,t happen until April so cudos to them for planning ahead.

Morning surprise

I was lying in bed this morning, not wanting to get my sorry tush out of bed when I heard it.  It was the territory song of the male Cardinal.  The first real "song" of the season.  Today was another melt day, third in a row.  After this horrible winter hearing the cardinal was a real treat.  It got me up out of bed and back to the pc to design.  Of course I have spring on the brain so my designs are reflecting that.

I thought this was a good idea.  I still think it's funny.  But it just won't translate to t-shirt ads.  I did spend over an hour drawing it so I included it here.  I guess it's too tough to reade here too.  SORRY!!

Enough snow melted yesterdat for Sandie to dig out the grill.  We had free steaks (long story) on the grill last night.  YUM

Valentines day 2011

I made a card today for my sweetie.  It's been softened and duplicated in my store.  If you paid attention to all the comics on TV I'm one of the rare old birds that loves his wife.

Speaking of birds, with the warmer temperatures the spring migration should start soon. Being on the north end of the flyway means we have to wait tthe longest for those beautiful warblers.  Hopefully this year I'll get the opportunity for lots of photos.  I got a new camera last year that takes great pictures.  I's a Panasonic Lumix with an 18x lens and 12.1 megapixel cmos.  I'll post some pictures from last year yet today.

I haven't done to much scince yesterday but I'll take a moment to update some history.  2 years ago I was diagnosed with MS, that has curtailed all my activities a lot.  I spend most of my time home designing stuff for my Zazzle sales site. We spend as much time as they can spare with our grandson's that now live 15 minutes from us.  The rest of our family (our daughters and other grandchildren live in Florida) are too far away.  We lost my Dad last fall an awful loss, but on the positive side it brought the rest of us closer.  We try to spend as much time as possible with Mom but she is 250 miles away.

Ok... I know I haven't posted in forever but I'll try to post more regularly.  The trouble is I'm homebound so outside stimulus to write about is minimal.  I do however watch a lot of TV news and I have a retail website that I sell fun things at. http://www.zazzle.com/SolarFlair  I do have some creative t shirts at SolarFlair and I have tons of fractal art inspired ties.
